Conference Portal delivers streamlined and easy-to-use Open Source and Web 2.0 resources for teachers, instructional specialists, presenters and educational consultants.

Conference Portal provides technology tools and application tactics to speed promotion of technology integration in classrooms and labs.

Schools, colleges and universities invest heavily in technology: hardware, software, infrastructure and outsourced services...and these institutions skimp and in the IT Staff required to maintain this investment. Since measurable student achievement and measurable learning outcomes fail to bring a return on these technology investments, IT staffing proves to be a "cutable budget expense." And, since a demonstrated Return on Investment (ROI) was seldom a factor in technology purchase decisions; equipment fails to be replaced at reasonable refresh timelines, updates and upgrades to equipment fall by the wayside.

Conference Portal brings teachers, instructional specialists, trainers and consultants to a Web-based community of doers.

Life-long learning is nice, but few teachers enjoy the luxury of even being able to "read for fun," let alone spend time on long-term intellectual self-improvement.

The day-to-day stresses, the red-tape dictated busy-work, and the non-instructional demands of a functioning bureaucracy (oxymoron?) gobble spare moments the way that elephants eat peanuts; i.e., inhaling them.

Collaboration and Community Sharing makes sense from an ethical and moral vantage point, but the math of one teacher's work being used by hundreds or thousands of other teachers provides incredible yield.
